Karri Brantley Photography is on location for a promo shoot with famous jazz musician!

This adorable man is famous jazz musician Dane Stauffer! I captured this shot on my fancy iPhone during a promo photo shoot with fellow photog friend, Dave. Dane hired us to photograph him while he was in LA for his upcoming release of his Jazz Album. He serenaded us while during the shoot & as you guessed it, he has the most soothing and beautiful voice!!! Made for a lovely and inspiring day outside in Burbank, CA! I love my job!!!

It's a Bird, It's a Plane, Its Superman... Promo Shoot in LA!

Here's a shot below, that photog pal, Dave, captured on his iPhone of me and the man of steel, aka Superman! Jason, our actor portraying the famous Clark Kent & I posed for a shot in between takes!

Updated Actor Headshot mini-session with Karri Brantley Photography!

This incredible actor and friend, Vaz just moved to the Los Angeles area. We've actually known each other since the 20th century. HAHAHA! Actually, we went to college together since 1999 in Detroit, MI and have re-connected after many moons ago. His career has taken him to Russia several times for theatre and has now decided to come to Hollywood to pursue his acting chops in the T.V. and Film industry. His agent asked him for a more current headshot and so Vaz called me up and hired me to update his shots.

We basically did two different looks. His agent wanted something in his traditional Indian attire and a few commercial shots. Because he only needed a couple of updated shots, we did a mini-session to bring him current.

It's the Sweet & Salty Improv Duo performing at Second City Hollywood y'all!!! 

These blond babes and two of the most HILARIOUS ladies om the planet {Detroit based improv friends} who hired me to do their promo shoot for their current 2 person improv show called 'Sweet & Salty.'

We decided to photograph at Griffith Park in Los Feliz, CA. It was a beautiful sunny day, but the wind was NOT in our favor, especially for the hair. If you look at photo 2 below, you'll see how I used it in their favor. I LOVE THIS SHOT!

Visiting beaches off the PCH in southern CA!

Holy beautiful beaches bat man!!!! I was lucky enough to visit this beach in the Hermosa/Palos Verdes area of southern California recently. I was on my first ever AMAZING Harley Davidson bike ride {life changing!} up the Pacific Coast Hwy and we stopped to view this gorgeous view {taken with my iPhone}! 

I had tears streaming down my face the entire day as I in awe of the beauty that surrounds me. I have to pinch myself as I cannot believe I live here now. Thank you Universe for showing me how fortunate I am to be here.

Karri Brantley captures Los Angeles based Actor's new Headshots!

2012 has arrived and here is my first official Headshot Photo Shoot of Los Angeles based actor, Pepper Berry! I was referred to him by the wonderful people and friends at Second City Hollywood. Pepper was eager and ready to shoot a couple of different looks! I'm a big fan of the hat below and the two thumbs up {we were laughing a joking together and all of a sudden I got this shot}. 

These photos truly captures who he is {serious, fun, snarky and zanny}, I love it & am honored to have been able to be the one to photograph his new headshots.

Christmas Eve at the beach!

Good Morning & Merry Christmas Eve from the sands of Santa Monica Pier! 

This is a first for me. 

Upon waking up on this bright and sunny morning {per usual & am still getting use to it!} I decided to load up my mountain bike on the back of my car and cruise on down to the beaches of Santa Monica. What a sight to see. Here, I've captured a shot off the bike path from my iPhone! Reminds me, sort of, from the opening scene of the hit 1980's t.v. show 'Three's Company!' 

It was a beautiful day and have loads to be grateful for. Later on this evening, I'm going to visit with my college roommate & her hubby, both I've known from Wayne State University, and their very sweet 2-year-old daughter.

My first ever Pasadena Flea Market experience!

It's the Pasadena Flea Market!!! It happens on the 2nd Sunday of every month and was told by some local friends here in California that is it THE place to find all the fun and quirky stuff that you cannot find anywhere else. I've arrived and took this shot with my iPhone. I'm in for a whirlwind.....parking was crazy and its only 8:35 AM. Here I go......

Cannot wait to see what's in store.....so much to do. But first, I'll count my blessings.

Thanksgiving packing weekend in Asheville with Mom & Dad!

Here's a shot of my parents over Thanksgiving weekend in my house in Asheville....helping me pack for my BIG move to the left side....CALIFORNIA!!!

So grateful to have their support and their extra hands to help me move 800 pounds of crap in a 2 pound bag. HAHAHA!

Seriously though, over the course of my days here on this planet, I've moved a lot and they've always been there to help me! Thanks mom and dad! Wish I could fit you in that box you got their dad so I can bring you with me!!! Love you both very much......

Bon Voyage dinner with some of my dearest girlfriends!

Here are some of the most talented and dearest friends from our all female sketch comedy troupe LYLAS {stands for Love Ya Like A Sis}! These funny ladies took me out to my favorite restaurant in downtown Asheville, called Posana Cafe {all gluten free dishes!}, for a fond farewell before my move to Los Angeles!!! And might I add, afterwards we partook in an unforgettable evening of Karaoke {those photos I'll keep to myself for the moment!} at Fred's Speakeasy nearby. I am gonna miss the ever living crap outta each and everyone of you {that goes for those not pictured, who weren't able to make it}!!!

Karri Brantley Photography does a Family Photo Shoot for the Puckett Family in Asheville, NC!

This Puckett family is very near and dear to my heart. I've known them for almost 6+ years. When Betsy hired me to capture their family's photos, I was beyond thrilled, but knew I had to do it before moving to Los Angeles in a couple of weeks!

She and I have worked together on stage for many years so it was fitting to work together to capture the essence of their family dynamic. So one afternoon, on a sunny fall afternoon, I headed over to their house to document some fun shots of their family!
