Los Angeles based band, Short Story Long, gets updated promotional shots by Karri Brantley Photography.

Short Story Long  is a name of an incredible band located in the Los Angeles area who are getting ready to play at the infamous Roxy theatre in West Hollywood in a couple of weeks. When they saw the photos I did at Union Station they wanted to update a few shots and have some fun! I was game to play.

What I didn't know, and I don't think they did either, was we happened to randomly pick a day where it was 'Pants Optional Day' at Union Station. Yup. We couldn't have randomly picked a better day nor an amazing opportunity to use this to our advantage. The boys were ready to play as well and we had a blast. Although, it was one of the toughest shoots I've ever experienced. So many distractions and these guys were like rock stars....so to control the environment, was a bit of a challenge. These guys are great to work with and were super chill. I really LOVED working with them and cannot wait to see their upcoming show.

Get ready for awesome-ness.....

Karri Brantley Photography takes Los Angeles Actor/Model Portfolio Shoot at Union Station.

Discovering Union Station in Los Angeles has been one of my favorite things I've seen since moving to Hollywood over a year ago.

A friend of mine told me that she knew of a 'bunch' of people going there to shoot photographs and that the lighting was AMAZING. So I was excited to come up with this specific shooting location when I captured this local actor/modeling updated portfolio. We had ourselves a wonderful time. He is also an incredible photographer, so we both geeked out with the abundant locations and lighting when we arrived. Seriously, it was never ending......here is the amazing and beautiful visions of the very talented Dave Craze.

{Above} One of my ALL time favorite shots!!!! LOVE THIS.

Dynamic Professional Headshots for Real Estate Management Company in Detroit by Karri Brantley Photography.

This is Jan. Jan is a successful business woman establishing her own real estate management company in the greater Detroit area. When I went back to Detroit for the holiday's, she hired me to update her portfolio to use in all areas of her marketing campaign. We had a delightful time and have to tell you what a trooper she was. I arrived at her new property downtown Detroit on Grand Ave on a VERY cold and blistery winter day.....ready to shoot these amazing headshots! She had gotten her make-up and hair professionally done and was prepared with several different outfits to market her personality. We had ourselves a wonderful time and was honored to capture these....

Los Angeles based actor recent Headshot Portfolio shoot by Karri Brantley Photography.

The many wonderful faces of Michelle, an incredibly talented actor based in Los Angeles. We had quite the team lined up making sure to give her the royal rock-star treatment, while capturing her updated actor portfolio. She's hadn't had an entire multi-look headshot shoot in awhile.

We had the very best team to help capture her different looks....with make-up and hair to the stars, Shannon of Shannondoahglamour, she really took the time to colaborate with us to make sure we started subtle & sweet {girl next door, mom and fun sassy roommate} then move to a more sophisticated & glamourous looks {real estate agent, lawyer, and banker}.

I also had my assistant and awesome photographer himself, Dave. He was a huge help bouncing light boards and all kinds of other things labor intensive jobs. He was such a trooper and when the two of us work together, we always have a great time making each other laugh!

Here's a testimonial from Michelle based on the experience she had with us:

I have taken a lot of headshots over the years.  After my session with Karri, I was told by numerous people that these were the best photos I'd ever taken. What a compliment!  Karri does something that no other photographer in Los Angeles does.  She makes the post-headshot work simple for the actor.  She narrows the shots down, so you're not overwhelmed with 500 pictures to sort through (I'm sure if you want all the pictures, even the ones with your eyes closed, she'll happily give them to you).  She sorted them into four files, small jpegs for instant upload onto my website and IMDB page, large image files for printing, social media jpegs with her logo and a file for photography release.
I have never had an easier time ordering pictures, updating my sites, and sending email attachments and submissions.  It's not just about the headshot, it's about making that headshot work.  Mine certainly are.  Thank you Karri!  ~Michelle
